🧪 Blow to Spin! Air Power Science Experiment

Can air really make things move? In this fun and simple science activity, kids use a straw to blow air and make a colorful paper wheel spin!

🔍 What’s happening?

When you blow through the straw, you create moving air. This airflow pushes against the paper wheel and causes it to rotate.

⚙️ The Science Behind It

  • Air has force: Moving air can push objects.

  • Torque (rotational force): When the air hits one side of the wheel, it creates a turning force that makes it spin.

  • Low friction: The wheel spins easily because there is very little resistance at the center.

🎯 Try This!

  • Blow harder — does it spin faster?

  • Change the angle — does the direction change?

  • Can you make it stop and start?
